Lauren Lavery is a visual artist, writer and editor. Her interdisciplinary practice consists mainly of sculpture, collage, painting and installation. She is interested in the concept of the body and corporeality through the absence of the human form as well as through its engagement with domestic objects and environments. Her visual art has been exhibited in Vancouver, Toronto and Cambridge, ON. She is the founder and editor of Peripheral Review, a Vancouver and Toronto-based online platform of exhibition reviews. She holds a BFA with honours from Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts in Vancouver, BC.
